Programming a raspberry-pi to run as an Internet In a Box (IIAB) server hosting an extensive library of digital media such as Wikipedia, World Maps, Kahn Academy, Project Gutenberg, TEDTalks, Stack Exchanges, and much more to come. This server has the capability to produce it’s own local WiFi network allowing not only the raspberry-pi to display any of the hosted media but anyone with a WiFi capable device within range. This project has many applications from providing basic education through college level math to entertainment all in an off grid package.
Next for this project I plan to encapsulate the raspberry-pi itself in a secure pelican case containing a small display, battery pack, and solar charging capabilities for use on the go.
